Tzila Yarhi is a doctoral student at the Department of Education in Science and Technology at the Technion. She has been teaching math in high schools for more than 25 years and has worked with teachers in various frameworks, such as professional development programs, courses, and workshops. Additionally, she has been teaching pre-service teachers in college.
Her doctoral research focuses on the role of teachers in constructing cycles of failure to learn mathematics, with a particular emphasis on the interactions between teachers and students.
Tzila holds an M.Sc. degree in math education from the Weizmann Institute of Science, where she studied the beliefs of teachers about students with mathematical difficulties. She also has an M.Ed. in science education from the Jerusalem College, and her B.Sc. and teaching certificate are from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
